2/12/22 Dayton, Nevada

Today we got to know the folks living by the river. One is a retired vet, who used to drive tanks. It’s his birthday today. He was so grateful for the help, he even pitched in a few bucks for the piggy bank.

The people we met there have been keeping all their trash bagged and stacked, which made it easier to haul out.

The brand new cordless sawzall only lasted a few minutes against the boat. Another sawzall did the same. A couple of us will return tomorrow afternoon, where we will drag the boat to one of the campers, where the resident has a generator. Then we’ll use a corded sawzall to finish the job.

Lots of new faces today! Thank you, everyone. I really enjoyed this run. I made new Pig friends, and some new off-grid friends. Plus, the change of scenery was really nice.
